EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn — Three men allegedly attacked a 49-year-old man after he came out of a Brooklyn methadone clinic Friday morning, police said.

One of the culprits confronted the victim after he walked out of the St. Joseph’s Methadone Clinic on Alabama Avenue around 9:20 a.m., police said. Two more men came over as the two argued with each other.

The three men allegedly attacked the victim, a spokeswoman for the NYPD said. They repeatedly punched and kicked him. The attackers ran away eastbound on Livonia Avenue. No arrests have been made and police are still looking for the culprits.

Paramedics rushed the victim to Brookdale University Hospital with severe head trauma, police said. He’s in critical condition and is likely to die.

The victim’s name has not been released. It is not clear if he was at the methadone clinic for treatment or if he was leaving the clinic for some other reason.
