Man arrested in Cornell campus stabbing that killed Brooklyn native

ITHACA, N.Y. — A man was arrested in a stabbing at Cornell University that left a Brooklyn native dead, according to the the victim's family and family attorney.

Anthony Nazaire, 19, an Ithaca College student was fatally stabbed during a "large fight" on the Cornell University campus early Sunday, school officials said.

Nagee Green, 23, an Ithaca local, is charged with second-degree murder.

According to Ithaca College's community information page, the stabbing occurred off campus near the intersection of College Avenue and Campus Road, which is located on the Cornell University campus.

A release from the Ithaca Police Department said a large fight broke out in this area on the Cornell campus around 2 a.m.

Two students had been stabbed when police arrived.

One of the students who was stabbed, reportedly Nazaire, died Sunday morning. The other was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the announcement.

Nazaire was from Brooklyn and graduated from Brooklyn Theatre Arts High School. He was studying business administration at the college.
