Fire tears through Williamsburg building

WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn – Firefighters are battling a fire tearing through a top floor of three-story building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn early Tuesday, authorities said.

The blaze started at 155 Powers St. around 1 a.m., according to the FDNY. The fire intensified about 30 minutes later as it spread to the roof.

Several emergency vehicles were on scene.

No word on any injuries.
