CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — Police released a sketch Tuesday in the killing of baby girl found in a Brooklyn courtyard nearly 23 years ago.

The NYPD said a newborn was discovered inside a trash bag with a dish towel around her neck on Nov. 8, 1993, in the courtyard of 346 Montgomery St. in the Crown Heights section of the borough.

The sketch provided by police shows the baby and a towel matching the one found more than two decades ago.

Police are asking for public’s assistance with tips in the investigation as the 23rd anniversary of the baby’s death approaches next month.

The NYPD hopes for similar results as in the case of 4-year-old Anjelica Castillo, also known as Baby Hope, when a new tipster’s information led to the arrest of the slain child’s cousin.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
