FRESH MEADOWS, Queens – The NYPD are looking for a man accused of raping a woman in Queens last weekend and released new clues Monday to help catch him.
The attack happened in the rear of 60-07 168th St. around 6:20 a.m. Sunday, when the man approached the 51-year-old victim from behind, placed her in a chokehold and after he rendered her semi-conscious, he threw her to ground and sexually assaulted her, police said. The culprit then got away and sped away in a dark-colored 4-door sedan heading westbound on the Horace Harding Expressway, police said.
The attacker is described to between 35 to 45 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing around 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark-colored hooded sweater and dark-colored jeans.
Police released a picture of the getaway vehicle and sketch of the accused rapist Monday evening.
