NYPD officer recovering after being shot by possible BB gun in Queens

JAMAICA, Queens -- A plainclothes officer was injured when he was hit in the forehead by a possible BB pellet in  Jamaica, Queens, officials say.

It happened just after 5 p.m. Wednesday, at the intersection of Jamaica Avenue and 168 Street.

The NYPD is calling the injury to the officer "minor," but say he has been taken to Jamaica Hospital.

Eyewitnesses say they could see the officer bleeding from his face.

No arrests have been made.
