OLINVILLE, Bronx – Police released video of a man who they say followed a 9-year-old into an elevator, kissed her on the cheek against her will and groped her.

NYPD said the attack happened about 10 a.m. Monday inside an apartment building near Olinville Avenue and East 213 Street.

The man, a sketch of whom was released Wednesday, trailed the young victim into the building's elevator. Once inside, he tried to pull her closer to him but she resisted, police said.

Still, he tried again, this time giving the girl a kiss on her cheek, according to police. When the elevator's doors opened, the man stood in the doorway, blocking the girl's exit, then groped her, police said.

The attacker then ran away and left the building, fleeing in an unknown direction, police said.

On Friday, police unveiled surveillance footage and photographs catching the man walking away in an unspecified location.

He is described to be between 18 to 25 years old and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with white lettering, a red hooded sweater and dark-colored pants.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
