Police cruiser crashes into Staten Island building, 4 injured

ST. GEORGE, Staten Island — Two civilians and two police officers were injured when a police car crashed into a Staten Island building Friday morning, officials said.

The crash happened around 9:40 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said. One of the civilians received serious injuries, but is in stable condition. The condition of the other civilian is unknown. Both police officers received minor injuries. All four individuals were transported to Richmond University Medical Center.

It is not yet clear what caused the crash. No identifying information is available for the victims.
