Video shows patron grabbing bartender’s hair in scary Queens attack

FLUSHING, Queens –Surveillance footage shows an angry patron attacking a bartender inside a pub in Flushing, Queens last week.

It happened at about 11:30 p.m Sunday, September 18 inside J Jack Bar Room on Sanford Avenue.

Police say the man grabbed the 38-year-old woman by the hair and hit her in the head with a glass when she refused to serve him alcohol after he failed to pay the last round of drinks. She suffered a cut to her head and needed five stitches, police say.

He ran away from the bar in an unknown direction.

The attacker was described to be between 45 to 50 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black and white baseball cap, a dark-colored shirt and light-colored shorts.
