Man, 21, found in Bronx playground with fatal gunshot wound to back of head: police

MORRIS HEIGHTS, the Bronx — A 21-year-old man who was found in a Bronx playground with a gunshot wound in the back of his head has died, police said Wednesday.

Yunior Manon was found inside the Morton Playground Tuesday when police responded to a 911 call made around 7:27 p.m. of a male being shot in the area opposite of 1821 University Ave., the NYPD said.

EMS also responded and transported Manon to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Manon was 21 years old and from the Morris Heights area.

No arrests have been made.
