HARLEM, Manhattan – A 21-year-old man shot in the head in Harlem Friday afternoon has died, authorities said.

A call came in shortly before 2 p.m. of a shooting outside 230 W. 141st St., police said.

The victim was rushed to a hospital and listed in critical condition, police said. He died about an hour later.

The shooter ran away in an unknown direction and no detailed description of the culprit was available.

Police have not yet released the identity of the 21-year-old man.

An EMS spokesperson told PIX11 News two people had been shot. An NYPD official said they are unaware of a second victim, though another person was taken from that area to the hospital after having a seizure. The seizure was unrelated to the shooting.
