RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Service on the Main/Bergen and Port Jervis train lines resumed in both directions after a closure because of police activity at the Ridgewood Station, NJ Transit said.

Police investigated after someone reported an unattended pair of shoes with a wire under them, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. The shoes and wire were harmless.

Train service was suspended for about an hour. Trains are delayed up to 60 min in both directions. Rail tickets and passes are still being cross-honored systemwide.
