Female struck by 1-train in Manhattan; service temporarily suspended through the Bronx

MANHATTAN — A female was fatally struck by a 1-train in Manhattan, causing service to temporarily be suspended in both directions through the Bronx, according to the MTA.

She was struck shortly before noon near Dyckman Street, police and the MTA said.

The woman was struck by a southbound train. Service was suspended in both directions between 168 Street in Manhattan and 242 Street in the Bronx, according to the MTA. It resumed around 1 p.m.

No identifying information about the female has been released.
