Students create 9/11 memorial with 2,377 flags

CEDAR GROVE, N.J. — Students and community members in Cedar Grove, NJ, are paying tribute to the victims of 9/11 with a unique memorial. They placed 2,377 flags, each representing a life lost, on the front lawn of Cedar Grove High School.

The 30-inch flags were hand-placed by students, as well as Local Boy Scout Troop 65. Each flag bears the name of the victim and country of residence. The flags will remain on the lawn through September 23rd.
