BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn — Police have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with a sexual assault that happened in a Brooklyn alleyway last month.

Rayshawn Long, 32, has been charged with rape and criminal sexual act following the sexual assault of a 24-year-old woman shortly before 6 a.m. August 21, police said.

The woman was forced into an alleyway on Louis Place at knifepoint in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, according to the NYPD. The attacker then pulled down her pants and licked her genitals, and forcibly touched her breasts and buttocks, authorities said.

The man then took the woman’s cell phone and fled, police said.

Police released surveillance video and a sketch of the suspect last week.

Long has also been charged with sexual abuse, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
