EAST NEW YORK, Brooklyn — East New York residents are worried about a deep pot hole smack in the middle of a busy intersection.

The three-foot deep pot hole is located in the middle of Autumn and Liberty avenues.

"Someone is going to get hurt. And it has been here for weeks," said Kassandra Pernell, from East New York, who contacted PIX11 News for help.

PIX11 News reached out to the Department of Transportation and a spokesperson says "Our Highway Inspections and Quality Assurance team took a look at the hole and they notified DEP to investigate if it was caused by a leak."

The Department of Environmental Protection says it is investigating and sending a team out right away.
