THE BRONX — Multiple firefighters were hurt Friday as they extinguished a blaze that tore through two apartment units in the Bronx, authorities said.
The fire broke out about 11:30 a.m. at 1382 Crotona Ave., FDNY said.
An official at the scene said five firefighters were hurt but the extent of their injuries was not known.
Flames ripped through multiple units, damaging or destroying two apartments, officials said. At least one of those units was vacant.
It’s unknown how many residents were affected by the fire.
