A section of Hudson River Park at the end of West 55th Street offers a patch of green in the city.

But some visitors have caught the attention of staff for the park.

Flocks of Canada Geese have been roosting and foraging for food in the afternoons. Crews have noticed an increase in the amount of droppings and damage to the grass.

"Geese Chasers" is a company that specializes in the humane treatment of the issue. A trained border collie walks with a handler in the area and chases the geese.

Border collies instinct is to herd not retrieve or kill. The geese sense the predator and gradually decide to relocate somewhere else.
