Woman, 81, robbed, kicked inside her Bronx apartment vestibule: police

BELMONT, The Bronx – A man allegedly robbed an 81-year-old before knocking her down inside the entrance of her Bronx apartment building, police said.

Surveillance video released by police shows the man patiently waiting for the victim in the vicinity of Arthur Avenue as she enters the vestibule of her apartment. He followed her inside and allegedly stole her necklace from behind, police said.

The robber then kicked her in the back and ran away in a hurry, heading eastbound on E. 188th St., according to police.

The victim sustained a minor injury and refused a medical attention, police said.

The attacker is described as having thin build, medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a white T-shirt, beige shorts and black sneakers.
