Woman fatally struck by train in Queens

ELMHURST, Queens — A woman in her 30s was fatally struck by a train just before 9 a.m. in Queens Friday, MTA and fire officials said.

She fell onto the tracks in front of a southbound M-train at the Elmhurst Avenue stop, fire officials said.

No identity has been released for the victim.

As a result of the incident, E, F, M and R train services were temporarily halted. Service has resumed to normal.
