Fatal bus crash causing NJ Transit delays, detours in downtown Newark

NEWARK, N.J. – Several NJ Transit bus lines are facing delays and detours following a deadly T-bone crash between two buses in downtown Newark Friday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of Raymond Blvd. and Broad Street just after 6 a.m. There is at least one person dead and several injured as a result of the collision.

One of the buses was heading to Newark Penn Station from North Arlington. The other bus was coming from New York City and going to South Orange.

As per NJ Transit's travel alerts and advisories, the following bus routes are affected by the collision: Nos. 1, 5, 11, 13, 21, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 34, 39, 40, 41, 59, 62, 65, 66, 67,  70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 76, 78, 79, 90, 92, 99, 108, 319, 361, 375 and 378.
