Athletes ready for 10th annual SEA Paddle NYC

The Surfers' Environmental Alliance (SEA) is gearing up for its 10th Annual SEA Paddle NYC, presented by TAG Heuer.

The 25-mile charity paddle, which includes an elite race with $30,000 in cash prizes, kicks off Saturday, Aug. 20, with registration at 7 a.m. at Brooklyn Bridge Beach in Lower Manhattan. All proceeds benefit organizations for autism and environmental awareness. So far, SEA has raised nearly $200,000.

Karen Marvin, from South Shore Paddleboards, and her sons Billy and Ryan helped raise $15,000 for the paddle. Six-time world stand-up paddle champion Kai Lenny, will be competing for charity.
