Bellport shooting leaves one dead, two injured; retired NYPD officer allegedly involved: sources

BELLPORT, N.Y. – Detectives are investigating a triple shooting that left one person dead and may have involved a retired NYPD officer.

Shots were fired at home in Foxglove Circle just after 11 p.m., police said.

At least one of the victims is dead. The conditions of the other two victims are unknown.

Sources said the gunman is allegedly a retired NYPD officer. He was also shot during the incident.

Sources also believe that one of the victims who was shot is the officer's son.
