Men wanted in connection with Far Rockaway cell phone robbery: NYPD

FAR ROCKAWAY, Queens — Police are searching Wednesday for several men they believe are connected to a burglary that occurred in Far Rockaway, Queens at the beginning of June.

On June 6, three men were in a stairwell of an apartment building at Central Avenue and Nameoke Street around 1:30 a.m.

One of the men allegedly hit a 54-year-old male victim in the head with an unknown object, police said.

The men then grabbed the victim’s cell phone and ran.

The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

One of the men can be seen in surveillance photos obtained by police and released to the public.
