Police search for suspect in Mount Hope shooting that injured 2

MOUNT HOPE, The Bronx — Police are searching for a man who allegedly shot two people in the Bronx Monday night.

The shooting happened in the vicinity of 179th Street and Grand Concourse in the Mount Hope section of the borough around 8 p.m.

A 20-year-old woman and 63-year-old man were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say both victims were shot in the leg.

It was not immediately clear if the victims were targeted or hit by stray bullets.

The suspect is believed to be in his 20s and was last seen wearing all gray.

An investigation is underway.
