TENAFLY, N.J. — A 9-year-old Brooklyn boy has died days after being pulled from an outdoor pool in New Jersey, the Tenafly Police Department said Monday.

Michael Placide died on Sunday at 12:54 p.m. “as a result of complications stemming” from the incident, police said.

His death came three days after he was pulled from an outdoor pool at the Kaplan JCC on the Palisades, located on Clinton Avenue.

The boy, who officials initially said was 8, was listed in critical condition the day of the incident and hospitalized.

Placid, of Brooklyn, was surrounded by his family when he died, police said.

The department is continuing its investigation into the boy’s death. Additional details have not been provided.
