HELL'S KITCHEN, Manhattan — It may be hot in Hell's Kitchen, but not in the kitchens of two buildings on 9th Avenue.

Two buildings, which include two restaurants, a hair salon and dozens of residents have no gas.

PIX11 News viewer and one of the building's tenants, Gary Girish, called PIX11 for help.

"I really hope you can help us. We can't cook and its been almost six months," complained Girish, showing us the stop work orders on the front of his building's door.

We reached out to Con Edison and they confirm the gas is on.

We reached out to the landlord.

He told PIX11 News he made $25,000 in renovations to the building to make residents more comfortable, but that it would unfortunately take several more months to finish the job.

The Department of Buildings said "the property owner will need to perform plumbing work to remediate unsafe conditions related to the piping that provides cooking gas to the apartments. Once the work is completed, the owner will need to have the piping tested to ensure the integrity of the system."

PIX11 News will continue to put pressure on the landlord and city agencies to help the people of these buildings get their gas back on.
