Victim identified in fatal shooting at NYCHA housing complex

FORT GREENE, Brooklyn — A victim was identified Tuesday after being fatally shot last week at a NYCHA housing complex.

Coral O’Brien, 26, was the woman killed after midnight Thursday inside the Walt Whitman Houses, according to police.

She was shot several times — once in the head, once in the leg and once in the arm, police said.

O’Brien, a resident of New Mexico, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not indicate why O’Brien was in Brooklyn and no arrests have been made.

An investigation is ongoing.
