NYPD: 23-year-old man fatally shot in the back in Jamaica, Queens

JAMAICA, Queens – Police say a 23-year-old man was shot and killed  at a Queens residence late Monday.

The shooting happened at 109-31 157th St. at approximately 9:37 p.m.

Upon arrival, police found the victim with a gunshot wound to the back, the NYPD said.

EMS responded and took the man to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
