BAY RIDGE, Brooklyn — Police say a 61-year-old New York man has been arrested for fatally stabbing his 56-year-old roommate.

Authorities say Saturday Gregorio Arambulo has been arrested on murder and weapons charges in Pedro Reyes’ death.

Police say officers responded to a 911 call of a stabbing inside the home the two shared at 120 Gelston Ave. in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn Friday evening.

That’s where they say they found Reyes with a stab wound to his chest. He was rushed to a local hospital but couldn’t be saved.

Police believe Arambulo and Reyes may be related. It wasn’t clear what prompted the dispute.

It wasn’t clear if Arambulo had an attorney and he was in custody Saturday and unavailable to comment on the arrest.
