Man sought for spraying chemical substance at couple inside Barclays Center subway stop

FORT GREENE, Brooklyn – A man is being sought for spraying a chemical substance at a couple inside a Brooklyn subway stop, police say.

At around 4 p.m. Tuesday, a man got into an argument with a 48-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman inside the Barclays Center subway station’s elevator, according to the NYPD. Once they were off the elevator, the culprit followed the victims to the mezzanine area of the Pacific Street R subway station and maced them with an unknown substance before running away, police said.

The victims suffered pain in their eyes as a result, police said. They were taken to Brooklyn Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect police are looking for is a male, about 6 feet tall, weighing around 300 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black du-rag, a green and black T-shirt, a brown jacket and black sneakers.
