
Straphangers leaped onto subway tracks Thursday morning to rescue a pregnant woman.
BENSONHURST, Brooklyn — Good Samaritans rescued a nine-month pregnant woman who stumbled onto the subway tracks at 71st street Thursday morning, police said.
The woman, who felt dizzy before she fell, was on the northbound platform of the D train when she fell around 8:40 a.m., MTA officials said. A group of people leaped onto the tracks to help her.
The woman, whose name hasn’t been released, complained of a head injury and was taken to Lutheran Medical Center, police said. She has since been released.
