NYPD: Girl sought in beating of 13-year-old, cellphone robbery

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Bronx – Police are looking for a female, possibly in her teens, who beat up a 13-year-old girl before taking her cellphone.

The NYPD said it happened on July 14, right before 1 p.m. in the vicinity of Loring Place North and W 183rd St.

The female attacker knocked the victim to the floor after a dispute, police said, and then continued to punch and kick her to the head and body. She then ran away with the victim's phone to an unknown direction, according to the NYPD.

The suspect is believed to be between 13 to 15 years old, around 5 feet 4 inches. She was last seen wearing a light pink sweat suit.
