ELMHURST, Queens — Elmhurst residents say while the neighborhood is quiet during the day, when the sun goes down, everything changes.

Residents like Carmen Andrade say they are sick and tired of the noise and the loitering that  comes with people playing Pokemon Go.

"They take over the neighborhood and I spend my mornings cleaning up after them," Andrade said.

PIX11 news confronted players who admit that things can get pretty crazy.

"We are here til 12 a.m., people and we want to play," said one player who did not want to be identified.

Council member Daniel Dromm says his office has been flooded with complaints. He says the problem that the intersection of 76th Street and Woodside Avenue has is that it's a Pokestop.

"Whenever we get calls like this, that 75 to 100 people are playing late at night and partying throwing beer cans, cigarettes, urinating, it should be taken seriously," Dromm said.

PIX11 reached out to the NYPD who said "it's not a crime to stand on the sidewalk and use an electronic device."
