2 people shocked on MTA tracks in the Bronx; 1 suffers cardiac arrest

GUN HILL HOUSES, the Bronx — Two people were shocked on MTA tracks at a Bronx train station Tuesday, leaving one in cardiac arrest.

A person was on the tracks at the Gun Hill Road Station, and a second went down to help the individual when they were both shocked, an MTA official said.

EMS confirmed the incident was reported at 10:47 a.m. at 699 E. Gun Hill Rd.

It was not immediately known if the first person fell or jumped onto the tracks.

One of the two suffered cardiac arrest and was in serious condition, an EMS official said.

The other suffered less serious injuries.
