Man sought after attempted rape in in East Harlem: NYPD

EAST HARLEM, Manhattan — Police are looking for a man accused of trying to rape a woman as she entered her East Harlem apartment Monday evening.

Surveillance video shows him following a 31-year-old woman into her building in the area of East 102 Street and Park Avenue around 7:15 p.m. and apparently attempting to rape her as she climbed the stairs.

The victim was able to fight him off.

The man sought was described as approximately 18 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 130 pounds.
