Suffolk County car crash critically injures 2 children

RIDGE, N.Y. — Two children were critically injured in a car crash Tuesday morning in Suffolk County.

Suffolk County Police responded to the two-car crash on Route 25 at Randall Road in Ridge around 6:35 a.m.

According to police, Lindsay Brown was driving southbound on Randall Road when she attempted to make a left turn onto Route 25. Brown’s car was struck by a driver traveling westbound on Route 25.

Brown’s two daughters, ages 5 and 6, were rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital where they were admitted in critical condition. The children were in the backseat of the car at the time of the crash.

The mother was treated for non life-threatening injuries. The other driver was not injured.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check
