JAMAICA, Queens – Police say an off-duty corrections officer was shot in the leg during an armed robbery in Queens.

The NYPD said the incident happened  at 205-2600 113th Ave. in Jamaica around 1:30 p.m.

The 40-year-old man said two men approached him and robbed him of his gold chain, according to the NYPD. He was then shot before the suspects fled in a silver Audi, police said.

The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.

The NYPD is investigating.
