Building superintendent dies after being found with multiple stab wounds inside Queens boiler room

QUEENS -- A man has died after he was found with multiple stab wounds inside of a boiler room at a home in Queens on Monday.

Officers arrived at the home on Merrick Boulevard around 2:40 p.m. to find a 50-year-old man with stab wounds to his chest.

EMS arrived and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

He was later identified as Gary Nelson, the superintendent of the building.

There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

The victim's identification is being withheld pending proper family notification.
