NEW YORK — The New York Yankees and StubHub have reached a landmark deal making StubHub the team’s official ticket re-seller, multiple sources report.
According to Sports Illustrated, the team announced Sunday night that it would make a major announcement with StubHub officials Monday.
The deal would unseat Ticketmaster as the team’s source for reselling tickets.
Sports Illustrated reports that the Yankees implemented a new policy that banned print-at-home tickets. This meant that fans could not buy tickets hours before the game StubHub. Tickets would instead have to be picked up in person.
PIX11 has reached out to the Yankees but has not heard back at this time.
