Man charged in connection with Brooklyn murder

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn — Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of a 45-year-old man inside a Brooklyn apartment building.

Christopher Chandler, 34, has been charged with the April murder of Brooklyn resident Kenric Tomlin, 45, officials said.

Tomlin was found unconscious and unresponsive by police around 3:20 p.m. on April 21 in the hallway of the Gates Patchen apartment complex. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The shooting took place in the apartment building where Chandler resided.
