BROOKLYN — A 29-year-old man, who was shot in the head in downtown Brooklyn, has died from his injuries, police said.

Luis Villot was brought to the hospital after police responded to a 911 call around 6:20 p.m. on June 15 that a man had been shot in front of 192 Sands St. Officers say they found Villot outside of his Farragut Houses building — located next to the Brooklyn Navy Yard — with a gunshot wound to the head.

First responders transported Villot to New York Methodist Hospital, where he died Saturday from his injuries.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, officials said.
