MANHATTAN – A reminder about a big travel advisory if you use the FDR Drive.

A two-month construction project is underway.

During the week, there will be full closures in both directions between 61st Street and 96th Street. A majority of the work will be done overnight from 12:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m.

On the weekend, things switch up.

On Saturday, it fully closes from 1 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Sundays, prepare to see it shut down from 2 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.

The road-work hours could change week-to-week. Check with Department of Transportation's website on what you can expect.

The project should wrap up July 19.

All of this is part of the a major expansion for Rockefeller University, which is extending its campus over the FDR.
