Man arrested in killing of Bronx mother: police

WAKEFIELD, the Bronx — A man has been arrested after allegedly killing a mother in the Bronx, police said Thursday.

Sheldon Salmon, 35, has been arrested and expected to be charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

This is in connection to the death of 32-year-old Sarisse Respass, who was found dead on Wednesday.

Police initially responded to a 911 call of gunfire in Respass’ apartment at 3914 White Plains Road in Wakefield, and declared her dead on the scene with a gunshot wound.

After further investigation, they have declared she died from blunt trauma to the head.
