‘Living Single’ actress Kim Coles to host heart disease research fundraiser

The American Heart Association will be hosting its premiere event, the Brooklyn Go Red for Women Breakfast on June 16th, 2016. The event—starting at 8 a.m. and taking place at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge (333 Adams Street, Brooklyn, NY11201)—will focus on raising awareness and funds to support education and research done to decrease heart disease and stroke among women. More than 250 attendees are expected to attend the event, including members from the social, medical, corporate and pharmaceutical communities of Brooklyn. The informative and social event is expected to raise over $150,000 in 2016 to fund research and education. The event will feature keynote speaker, Kim Coles, best known for her five season turn as the unforgettable “Synclaire” on FOX’s ground breaking comedy series, "Living Single."
