MANHATTAN – For one Bronx woman the tragedy hits very close to home.
The 19-year-old was at Pulse nightclub 24 hours before the tragedy and has video from inside the club.
"I can't believe I was there dancing just hours before it happened," Monica Rivera said.
She and her friends were dancing, drinking and having fun with dozens of other club goers Friday night. She watches her cellphone video now with a heavy heart and prayers.
She replays all the moments inside the club over and over again.
She especially replays the critical decision she made not to return Saturday night – something in her gut telling her not to go back.
"I don't know if it was a guardian angel, my grandfather, " Rivera said. "Something told me not to go back."
"I'm so glad I didn't go," she said.
She knows now the decision not to go back may have saved her life and her friends live.
It's just too close for this young woman who say she now feels a new gratitude for life.
Her every though now is for the families of the victims that lost loved ones and their pain.
"I'm so heartbroken," she said. "My life will never be the same."AlertMe
