Police investigate fire bombings of 2 Staten Island churches

STAPLETON, Staten Island – Investigators are trying to connect a pair of fire bombings at two  churches – the latest happening Thursday night.

Police said a man tossed a Molotov cocktail through the front window of St. Paul's Memorial Episcopal Church causing a small blaze. No one was hurt. Police said the church sustained minor damage.

The attacks happened days and blocks apart, rattling the Stapleton community. No arrests have been made.

The NYPD said the fire-bombings are being investigated as a hate crime.

In the latest incident. police released surveillance video of a suspect wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket and dark-colored pants.
