Major Deegan Expressway reopens after partial wall collapse

THE BRONX — A section of the Major Deegan Expressway has reopened to traffic after a wall near the Cross Bronx Expressway partially collapsed, closing the road for about an hour.

It happened just before 5 p.m. Thursday.

Officials say bricks and debris fell as a result of the wall collapse.

No injuries were reported.
