Male sought for slashing woman in the face in East Harlem: NYPD

EAST HARLEM, Manhattan — A male is being sought after slashing a woman in the face, causing her to be hospitalized and require stitches, the NYPD said late Sunday.

The victim was near 167 East 125 St. when a male approached her at 3:19 a.m. and slashed her in the face with an unknown object, police said.

EMS responded and transported the 42-year-old woman to Lincoln Hospital, where she received stitches for the laceration.

Police have released video of the alleged attacker.

He is described as a black male between 18 and 25 years of age, and was wearing a black v-neck T-shirt, black basketball shorts with a white stripe down the side, and white basketball sneakers at the time of the incident.
