Police seek to identify critically injured woman found on Bronx highway ramp

PELHAM BAY, The Bronx — Police are trying to identify a woman who was found unconscious on a Bronx roadway Friday night.

  • UPDATE: In a tweet posted June 6, NYPD said they have identified the woman in question, though did not release her name. “Thanks for your help NYC,” the department wrote.

The victim was found just before 11 p.m. on the westbound Pelham Parkway entrance ramp heading into I-95.

Police say the victim, who was unconscious and unresponsive, had trauma to her head and a cut to her arm.

She was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center where she is in critical condition.

Police have not yet determined the cause of her injuries.

The victim is believed to be in her 30s and has a tattoos of rosary beads and the quote “I will fear no evil for thou art with” on her left arm.
